Extensive areas for maintenance services
The Maintenance Area, which is being developed in the west of the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport, is the quarter for high-quality technical services. This area is characterised by impressive maintenance hangars and architecturally appealing buildings housing airport infrastructure. The airside plots will have their own access control point, which will provide the companies located here with rapid and uncomplicated access to the airport. Two maintenance hangars, technical buildings and a fire station are being built on the airside.
Maintenance hangar für airberlin and Germania
Harder & Partner has built a 12,000 square metre maintenance hangar for the two airlines airberlin and Germania. At least six Airbus A 319/A 320 aircraft or two A 330 can then be serviced in this hangar at the same time.
Lufthansa maintenance hangar
Lufthansa Technik AG has built a 6,500 square metre maintenance hangar that offers space for three Airbus A 321 aircraft. In addition, space for offices, storage and workshops will also be created in both hangars.
